Mystical forest notes are generally used to structure and add depth to a fragrance, serving primarily as base notes.

• Amyris (Amyris balsamifera)
  A soft, woody, slightly balsamic scent. Often used as a base note, it blends harmoniously with resins, florals, and woods.
• Oakmoss (Evernia prunastri)
  A rich, earthy, mossy scent with nuances of damp forest. Used as a base note, it adds texture and natural depth, pairing beautifully with woods such as cedarwood, amyris, or hinoki wood, florals (osmanthus, jasmine, neroli), as well as resins like frankincense and myrrh.
• Tonka Bean (Dipteryx odorata)
  A warm, balsamic scent with facets of almond, hay, and vanilla. Used as a base note, it brings roundness and softness and pairs well with resins (frankincense, myrrh), woods (cedarwood, sandalwood, amyris, copaiba), florals (rose, jasmine, osmanthus, frangipani), and sweet notes (vanilla, cherry, almond).
• Ambrette (Abelmoschus moschatus)
  A delicate vegetal musk with subtle fruity and floral nuances. Used as a base note, it adds gentle sensuality and blends well with most materials, particularly woods, resins, and florals.
• Frankincense (Boswellia carterii)
  A resinous, cool, luminous scent with fresh, slightly citrus facets. Used as a heart or base note, it blends beautifully with woods (cedarwood, sandalwood, hinoki, copaiba), citrus oils (lemon, bergamot, lime), florals (jasmine, rose, frangipani, davana, geranium), spices (coriander, black pepper, cardamom), and botanicals (vetiver, patchouli, tuberose).
• Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha)
  A warm balsamic scent with a slight bitterness and meditative richness. Used as a base note, it anchors compositions and pairs well with woods (cedarwood, sandalwood, amyris), spices (black pepper, coriander, saffron), and other resins (frankincense).
