For many years, I worked in perfumery believing that creating a fragrance was a complex process, almost inaccessible without a scientific background. Then I discovered natural perfumery… and it was a true revelation, a genuine love at first scent.

Not only did this approach deeply align with my values, it also gave me a new kind of freedom: the freedom to express creativity through scent, to work with living materials, and to create fragrances filled with emotion.
This is how the olfactory kit was born: with the desire to offer you, in turn, the opportunity to express yourself through perfume, to create compositions that reflect who you are, connected to your tastes, your memories and your emotions, while discovering the fascinating world of essential oils.

Create your perfumes at home

For the past two years, we have been offering natural perfume creation workshops in Montreal. These moments of sharing are incredibly precious to me. Over time, many people wrote to me to say how much they would love to take part in a workshop, but that distance made it impossible.
With this perfume creation kit, I wanted to make this experience accessible wherever you are, and to make natural perfumery simple, approachable and joyful.

This kit is here to guide you step by step and to give you the freedom to create your own olfactory signature, at your own pace, with curiosity and pleasure.

What you’ll find in the kit

The kit contains everything you need to create a natural perfume using essential oils.

Inside, you’ll find 15 carefully selected essential oils in 3 ml bottles, allowing you to explore a wide range of olfactory worlds: bright citrus notes, deep woods, delicate florals…
This selection is inspired by the essential oils most loved during our workshops. Among them:

• Vanilla, widely appreciated for its warm, comforting and slightly sweet facets, brings roundness and depth to compositions. It blends beautifully with both floral and woody accords, naturally softening and enhancing them.
• Frangipani flower, solar and exotic, reveals a creamy, voluptuous floral scent with lightly fruity accents. It evokes warmth, holidays and a certain sensuality, adding a luminous and joyful touch to compositions.
• Neroli, extracted from orange blossom, offers a soft and elegant scent, both floral and fresh, with a subtle bitterness in the background. It brings finesse, lightness and a soothing quality to perfumes.
• Vetiver, deep and distinctive, unfolds a woody, resinous and slightly smoky trail. Grounded and earthy, it gives structure and character to compositions while creating a warm, enveloping base.

To support you throughout this experience, the kit also includes a 40-page guidebook designed to gently introduce you to this sometimes mysterious world. We put a great deal of care into making it clear and accessible, even for those with no prior knowledge of perfumery.

Inside the guidebook, you’ll find:

• an introduction to perfumery vocabulary

• an explanation of the olfactory pyramid, your key tool for building a balanced fragrance

• detailed descriptions of the 15 essential oils, their olfactory profiles and pairing ideas

• exploration methods to help you become familiar with each note

• a step-by-step guide to creating your perfume

• 10 base formulas, fully customizable and ideal as a starting point

An invitation to experiment

Even though we designed this kit to be simple and accessible, it’s important to remember that perfumery is still an art, one that requires time, patience and experimentation.

I always tell our apprentice creators: not every blend will be a success on the first try… and that’s completely normal. Just like painting, every attempt is part of the learning process.
It’s also how you begin to understand how essential oils evolve together, how some more powerful notes can take the spotlight, while softer ones need to be gently supported.

So don’t be discouraged if your first creations aren’t exactly what you imagined. Keep going, stay curious, and enjoy the process. And of course, I’m always here if you need guidance or have questions along the way.
