Breizh Atao

We don't forget where we come from

Leaving one's homeland to reside in another country is a great and wonderful adventure; one's life takes a new direction, one meets new people, one adapts to the way of life of one's new region, and one goes to discover its nature and its riches. But no matter what the reasons are for leaving our home country, we never forget where we came from.

With this new fragrance Atao, I wanted to make you travel and discover this hilly peninsula that juts out into the Atlantic Ocean; in the heart of a region that will always be part of me: Brittany.

Between land and sea, Brittany is a unique territory that has a lot to offer. Dunes, cliffs, coastline, forest; a land full of riches where the landscapes are very diversified.

Mysterious and legendary, you can't go around without discovering its mysteries through its tales and legends or without having tasted all its divine culinary specialties such as Kouign Amann, this cake mainly made of butter emblematic of the region, its pancakes and galettes or its delicious Far Breton; just writing it makes my mouth water!

Breizh Atao

Breizh Atao, means "Brittany forever" in Breton

I chose Atao as a demonstration of my love and attachment to this peninsula in northwestern France.
For this perfume, I wanted to create something different.
It is difficult to create natural marine accords, even if there are distillations of certain seaweeds such as Fucus seaweed, these are very difficult to work and harmonize in a natural fragrance. So I created the representation of my dear Brittany without iodized smell, but with a metallic and mineral touch as well as green and lemony notes which give it this marine spirit.

I don't know if it's because I'm mainly attached to this land or the fact that the marine spirit is harder to work with naturally, but I spent many months working on this perfume to achieve what I wanted.

The fragrance

Atao opens with fresh, green, slightly sweet notes.
The sparkling and luminous Bergamot meets the warm, fruity sweetness of orange, as well as the finely pungent, greenish notes of mischievous lime.
Imagine yourself at the edge of the forest, the cliff preventing you from going any further; in front of you the sun declines and its rays dance on the fold of the waves.
This show with orange-red hues reveals the warm aromas of the forest accompanied by fresh touches coming from the horizon.
The wind plays in your hair and caresses your face.

The freshness of the end of the day settles in; the mineral and fresh notes of Frankincense are entwined with those of the magnificent Jasmine Sambac and envelop you in a solar, slightly lemony freshness.

You are lulled by this beauty between land and sea, between the gentle warmth of the trees and the vivacity of the wind, accompanied by the melodious song of the sea; it is at this moment that the astonishing oak moss and opoponax enter the scene, this resin both warm and earthy with a slightly metallic, balsamic scent.

A fragrance between earth and sea, between hot and cold, between wood and minerals…

Here you are, welcome to my home, welcome to our beautiful Brittany
